Yesterday was an excellent day for me. First, I became a scholar on these boards, which means a great deal to me coming from all the fantastic posters in here. Then, as an added bonus, I joined a great guild. I have been tirelessly looking for the right guild and could not seem to find one. Either there were too many people or not enough. Too RP or none whatsoever. Too unorganized, too new, too rude, etc. etc. Which brings me to the point of my thread.
What is your main criteria when making your guild choice or, if you started your own guild, what goals do you have in mind?
My list is as follows:
1. Personally, and this has been addressed on this board already, I cannot stand when people throw a blind guild invite. That marks them off my list right away.
2. I look for professionalism in the person who is trying to recruit me. If I have questions and they can't answer them right away, take your time, talk to your leader and get back to me. Don't ignore me all together because I asked you something you didn't know.
3. I like to know about the guild charter, motto, what they stand for and what their long term goals are.
4. Willingness to group and share loot. Say I group with someone in a guild and an Adept I spell drops that I need. If they still keep group options on lotto and don't offer it to me, they are out. That shows selfishness and I don't want a part of that.
That is about it. What kind of list do you have?
