As do we all like to get a little more cash now and then.
But since SOE is bragging about recently banning 700 accounts for farming, botting, and macroing, it's best to walk the straight path. :)
Depending on your level, here's a few tips to make money:
- Do as many quests as you can stand. You usually get cash and items that you either keep or sell.
- Kill lot's of critters and sell the scraps to the merchants. You'll begin to find what items sell for the most money.
- If you get a spell drop, sell it on the merchant board in your room.
- If you are a tradeskiller, you can craft some of the lower combines that the higher tradeskillers don't want to waste time with.
- (Least popular) Harvest as much as you can stand to get a rare drop. These may sell for 10g and above. Bad news is there is no single spot to get a rare, and it may be 1 in 2000 to get one.
There really is no legal quick and easy way to make money, if there was, everyone would be doing it and be rich.
It's understandably frustrating at lower levels to be short on cash, eager to buy good gear. This is especially true if you have just come from the EQ1 economy. I use to solo Hill Giants for 15-30p each!
Be assured, you will eventually raise money for upgrades, and you will access zones that have better drops for more money. You will do quests that will give you armor and weapons, almost making money secondary.
EDIT: There is an autoplay function on the login screen that is supposed to start the game when you login. According to the current SOE TSR forums, it is bugged and shouldn't be used.
