I'm a lvl 21 Fury (priest>druid>fury)... and so far as grouping goes, I can say that I have had zero problem.
I started grouping with strangers for my first big encounter in BlackBurrow back around lvl 17ish (til then I was perfectly happy to solo and still enjoy soloing some even now).
Since that very first grouping, the same basic skeleton of the group gets together regularly for encounters, so I'd say they don't have a problem with grouping w/ a druid>fury
(The other members that comprise the skeleton of our regular 'group' are lvl 22 scout>bard>dirge, lvl 27 paladin, lvl 19 crusader. We fill in with one or two more here and there but I'm often the only healer.)
Also, let me interject that I
very much enjoy the fact that I can heal myself (and others). Right now, besides the basic heals I can also cure noxious which is a great bonus during this plague-filled time in Norrath. Besides healing, the priest>druid class can also dole out a nice bit of damage on the side. At lvl 20, druids (fury/warden) acquire the ability to change form which also boosts group and self abilities such as strength/special attack/agility etc. I find this class very fun, versatile, and beneficial to groups. Plus there don't seem to be an overabundance of them around! (nice)
All of this being said, the bottom line is... healers don't generally have trouble finding groups. I just prefer this particular class b/c we aren't limited to strictly healing.
Let's /dance!
