Kalli,
A few things. First, it was just a comment based on the shocking fact that I think I can see *whisper* nipples on that avatar... and yeah, younger kids do come to these forums.
Secondly, it wasn't a rant, it wasn't an attack, just a comment. Noone's trying to 'change' Meldrick. I'm sure he/she's a heckuva person.

his avatar shows nothing that 7 year old kid in a supermarket regularly sees when he walks by a rack of magazines
We all know this, of course you're right about that... not to mention what's on TV these days. I myself have a young child and I worry about inappropriate things in the mainstream quite often as it relates to his young mind and easily shaped perceptions of his world. That isn't what I was talking about here... it was merely a comment.
As for efforts better spent changing society rather than a poster, as I said previously... not trying to change anyone. Only person anyone can change would be themselves. However, I do have a right to voice my opinion on matters, and I do this quite often, as I'm sure you can tell.
IMO, society changes take place one person at a time. It all begins with each of us individually. And as far as I can tell, the collective majority makes up the society standard.
As to the issue about what's publicly displayed in our society, it's not gonna change and I know this. Doesn't mean I won't have a few comments along the way ;)
By the way, I very much enjoy your posts and active contribution to this forum! Keep up the nice work :)
Cheers
