I didn't learn until late into crafting that you don't get Durability buffs until level 10, and then you only get them for the profession you've chosen.
So you may have them at the stove, but you might not have them at the forge.
I wouldn't pay high prices for the player-made food. I can quickly make a 20-stack of "ok" food/drink that, although not the best, is the same as a 2-stack of high quality food/drink.
They both should last the same amount of time, and they both take up the same amount of slots. :)
Only thing I'm not sure of, is a level 10 High Satiation the same regen rage as a level 20 High Satiation? If not, then that expensive player-made food/drink will have value.
