The issue on these memory grips is getting a bit crazy. I've done a few things and have found a great work around for the memory problems we are all gripping about at least for my setup. I've got an Athlon64 3000+ o/c to 2.4 with 512Mb of PC4000. I had an issue at first then I tried a 2 tests, first test was increasing the memory to 1GB and the problem was still there. So my thought is adding more memory doesn't help. I have a 40Gb SATA drive partitioned into 3 partitions. 1 for Win @ 8GB, 1 for games @ 24GB, 1 for programs @ 8GB. I went and manually changed the virtual memory settings. I set drive C to no paging file, went to the game drive and set it to min=1000 max=1000. This is the drive where EQ2 resides. Rebooted the sys and have had no problems at all. The zoning time are less then 20secs even after being on for up to 8hrs. My roomate did the same thing after he saw my results and he's got the same system execpt he has a 6800gt and I have a 9800pro. Fixed his problem right away. I don't know if it will help with more memory then 512mb but couldn't see why it would not help. Just some input for anyone to try to help resolve the issue, all I can say is it worked wonders for me. Plus it saved me the cash from going and getting more memory, now I'll wait and save the cash for the 6800gt once they can resolve the stutter problem :)) Plz post back if you try this and it makes a difference I'm curious to know the results if anyone is willing to try it. Thanks and good luck to you.
