update:
now then.. I took my predator out last night and though she's only 16th level I figured I'd hit on a few solo things just to check it out as I said I would.
I took on several blue and green cons.. and a few white cons in The Commonlands..
the blues and greens were not a problem..
the whites could do a good bit more damage.. but I was still able to beat them in an acceptable amount of time and be in the low green or yellow...
had a situation of fighting 3 blue con solo's at once... that was a MUCH closer fight (was in the low orange by the end of the fight) but I DID do it.

separate test: - single ^ group green... 2 on 1 combat
my predator has never been able to take group mobs.. I do have SEVERAL skills that need upgrading (best of anything I have is App II) and I've been making a bit of coin to upgrade my weapons.. but I figured it would be interesting...
side note: is it just me.. or are there no scribes in freeport? I searched at the beginning of the night and just before logging and found only 2 adept books for sale.. neither of which I could afford.. not a single App III combat art for sale for predators... I'm considering taking up scribe, filling the void in the market, and reaping the benefits.
anywho, I was able to pretty soundly defeat one of the orcs.. however 2 on 1 is just not do-able for her.. I suspect if I found a "group" mob that was alone single ^ I could take it down FAST.. I'm also mildly confident that with a few App III or Adept 1 upgrades she could soundly trash ^^ green in one on one combat *IF* the initial back attack succeeds.
For the record.. those mobs do have the word "group" under the name for a reason... solo them at your own risk (and at considerable risk I might add if you can't heal yourself). Technically a group is 2 or more.. so find a duo-partner and go for them with slightly less risk. Only my Conj. can take on 2 on 1 and have an easy time of it.. and *technically* Summoners, Conjurors, and Necros are "duo classes" due to the pet.
