Okay, I bet that there has already been a thread about this somewhere, I did my best to scour the boards for awhile and came up with nothing, so here it goes.
What are some of your best or worst experiences with the spoken dialogue in the game? Are there any particular NPC's that you love to hear babble on as you walk by? What about pronounciation?
I was doing the Priest --> Druid class quest in Qeynos and was taken aback when the Heirophant declared the name of Tunare, Mother of All, out loud.
That's NOT how you say it, I told myself. After 3 years of playing EQ and calling her (toon-ARE-a) and then hearing this blasphemer refer to her as (tun-AIR), it took a second for me to process that.
Then there's good ol' Blort in the Big Bend of Freeport. That zany Blort always asking people to ask about buying cutters and slicers in his remarkable Boston-sounding accent.
I want to KILL the bard in the Willow Wood with all of my inner being. "GATHER ROUND PEOPLE.....GATHER ROUND...I'll be warming up my voice in a few minutes." He's going to eat an Ice Comet from me one of these days if I have any say in it.
Who do you like hearing when walking through town, or what EQ revelations have dawned on you because of the voice overs we have?
