First, just to get that out of the way, are the SK's abilities upgraded to app3+?
Is the fury casting bristlebelt/nettleshield on the tank after the mob is pulled or before? The damageshield and buffs should always be cast before the pull or later in the fight, never at the beginning of fight.
If the fury is casting regrowth on the tank before the pull, tell him to wait for tank to come back before casting regrowth.
Is the fury using effloresce, bloom, sylvan touch, winds of renewal, sylvan wind regularly during fights? If so, something is wrong. Most of the time, regrowth is sufficient and generates much less hate since it heals over time.
Is the tank taking too much damage? Does he have up to date gear?
Make sure the fury always has willowskin and wild spirit up to buff up the group's defense. Those spells need to be upgraded and also recasting them after each ding/miniding helps(can gain a few points in stats after a miniding) even if they last for a few hours.
The fury should always be in lion form. The benefits are too good to pass up and it boosts the defense, which is good when healer takes aggro.
Here's a typical fight:
Buff the group before fight(group buffs, individual buffs, damage shield)
Tank goes to pull and comes back with mob.
Fury casts regrowth on tank if he has lost health.
Fury casts feral intimidation/weakness on mob.
Fury casts DoTs on mob.
Fury melees and keep eye on tank's health.
When regrowth wears off, recast regrowth.
If tank health's get to half or below, cast bloom.
When DoT's and/or debuffs fade, recast.
If tank has decent equipment, abilities and knows his job, I would not get hit.
If you're hunting mobs that are much higher than your group and your tank just gets hit too hard, even with good armor, add another healer to your group. A healer duo works VERY well(preferably different classes). I've grouped with templars and mystics before and the groups were awesome.
Around your level would be a good time to consider having 2 healers in your guild groups at all time. Have a cleric as main healer and the fury just takes care of all buffs/debuffs/DoTs and cast regrowth on main tank to help the cleric. That way, the healers won't take aggro and they will also have enough power after each fight to chain kill mobs.
