I don't know anything after 20 (even so, I'm a Guardian, not a Crusader), so take what I say with a grain of salt. hehehe...
Anyhoo, the active mob (the one you're beating up at the moment) shouldn't budge from you since you'd be using taunt, combat abilities, (and landing HO's if your group is willing to cooperate) etc. If it does, then just slap a buff (like "Demonstration of Faith" or "Intervene") on the person it's attacking and you should be able to get hate back.
If there's more than one mob, I'd suggest using shout as the first "taunt". If the area permits it (no lingering mobs outside of the engagement), assault should help keep the other mobs stuck to you too. If a mob strays and you don't have a back up tank, use a buff on its target. If not-and this may not be good for all instances--you can always switch your active target to the stray and bash it a couple of seconds to get hate from it then switch back to your original target.
It seems that the path of the
Warrior has more abilities to generate hate as opposed to
Crusader. Of course this could be incomplete. I was going to mention Hold the Line (which would be a great way to regain hate as well as maintain it) but it doesn't look like Crusader's have it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
And as long as your equipment is up to date (read NOT uber but appropriate for your level) and you're managing your use of abilities [and HO's], the only thing left for hate management is group effort.
As for this:

ps Dont you still just hate how some idiots pull aggro off the tank and when you tell them DONT GET AGGRO, they respond by saying they cant help it : (
Let them keep it (hate that is)... see how fast they learn to control themselves. haaah. :P
