Consistency has always been a low priority for SOE. You argue correctly but anyone with experience of SoE would find your conclusions amusing.
Pickpocket was always a bit of a mixed blessing in EQ. It served no usefuol purpose except it was required to have a high level of skill to complete your epic.
The rest of the thread was amusing - as amusing as telling a newbie zone to hit /q to see what quests they were on (/q quit the game in EQ)
