Just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean Sony will not do it. You, my noble friend, are meta-game thinking. Maybe "meta-game thinking" will not be rewarded just like in D&D. As a DM if I hear my guys meta-game thinking then I ***** slap them with a black dragon, no matter where they are. Only think in game and you will enjoy it much more.

Wow, that was entirely too damn many posts to be reading and gain absolutely no useful information. I have an idea let's see who can put the most random posts in this forum!

What are you, stupid? It'd ruin the game immersion, be a major pain in the *** and have zero purpose. What they might do is have a serverwide quest/event and then, at the completion of said event, give EVERYONE the zone files. They are certainly not implimented in the game now.

The Overlord found Guk and the Froggies sealed inside, he than transported the entiredty of Guk (I hear he's that powerful) into his citedel through extra dimensional space adding. He is now using the Froggies as slaves and test subjects for creating machines of war with witch too destroy Quenos. I know for a fact 'cause I heard from a reliable source that heard from a reliable source that heard.... -Avacar Ratonga Scout

Lots of mixed up info. Unlock something, giant server quest, class/race/level combo's. Only truth I see is no one knows anything. I have talked to every froglok I can find in Qeynos and surrounding areas, and have completed every quest they have given me, and I am still no closer to unlocking the frogloks. Wish I could help.

That would be my guess, too.

SoE knows people like to dig into the game files, so I would imagine they have these zones "sitting on the shelf" so to speak ready for quick insertion into the game. That way there are not "spoilers" from the filediggers.

Luclin kind of um...exploded. If they fled to luclin, some time within the last 500 years there was a frog-gut meteor shower.

One can only hope it was so!

If you look at other online games, i know one does it, cant remember it atm, but they can patch to the servers while people are playing that patch locally to the players next time they log in. Possibly after the quest is complete they can do that to prevent everyone from having to log, or they will just bring down all the servers suddenly just like they loved to do with Rodect Nife in EQ1 heh.

I find it amusing that the frogs lost their "Home" which they stole in the 1st game right in the middle of gameplay. I remember that day well all the PLayers that lost their home to frogloks were upset for weeks. Very funny stuff, guess they got their vengence after all.

man i realy hate all races (well all but high elfs). i mean all the other races besides high elfs are infearior and just plane old junk. who would want to unlock froglocks(besides for dinner). i remember in eq1 when the new expansion ykesa(think its spelled like that) came out. the home city for the frogs was filled for days as every one made a frog. personly i think sony is gona just charge us $35.99 for a new expansion just so we can see stuiped small pathetic frogs hop away from danger just like all the other bards in norrath. i just hope they unlokc the tunare continent. i mean no one ever told us what happened to it. i wonder if unrest will become central station like it was in eq1. o well enuff flaming for now.

I'm not sure if it's any help but in the lore for EQ2 on the website it states that some of the Frogloks were led into Guk to save them from the incoming Rallosian army. They also mention that some Ancient Evil is deep within Guk.

I believe this Ancient Evil is what's actually taken control of the Frogloks. Finding it is probably the key.

Apocolyth is right, this seems very probable as the cause of the disappearance of the Froglocks. The event might just be to kill a mutant Troll tyrant of some sort to free the Froglocks. May be a dragon, or the Rallosian Army might have had also taken control of the area. Let's all get to 50 and raid the place =P

I agree with Daxx - there is no way anyone is getting frogloks for free when Sony can charge you $29.99 for the froglok digital download. Nothing associated with Sony is ever free.

EQ2 Expansion2 will be Lost Guk - Return of the Frogloks. 6 new zones everyone can use, 12 instanced zones only raids and groups of 12 can enter, 2 more bank slots, Adept III spells now no-drop and for sale in a new zone, and the ability to create a froglok character if you haven't already filled up your generous 4 character slots. This expansion will give a 10% discount if you open a second EQ2 account on which to play your new froglok.

Don't forget, if you have already pre-ordered the limited collector's edition expansion for $69.99, you will receive the valuable limited edition Lokta Elder Dibbig Froglok Statue for placement in your inn room as well as the Master Scribe Uklo action figure.

Just a thought...In eq1 there were 4 different faction of Frogluks. Frogluks of Guk, Frogloks of Krup, Frogloks of Kunark, and Frogloks of Sebilis. We've only been considering the froggies of Guk. Perhaps we might need to look at the ones in over in Kunark. Specificially in the Swamp of No Hope. I have no idea what the status of Kunark is in eq2, but maybe the froggies went back to the old world when their swamp boiled?

Here's What I know so far, Frogloks were attacked and over run during the Great Cataclysum, and retreated in there UNDRGROUND CITY!

C'mon folks it's not that hard to figure out that the Frogloks fled to Lower Guk, So it's just a matter of finding a way into the Ancient city of Lower Guk ,or is it?

Or perhaps they fled to Old Sebilis, hard to say, But I think that the frogloks will be found in some dark underground Dwelling, not easily accessable, and perhaps a key may be required! Can't wait to see how it comes out. Very excitting!

Honor above all else , except quest drops!
